I’m quite new to digi scrapping, I only started in May. Maybe my story is like yours? I was an avid paper scrapper before scrapbooking was even a name! I used to lock myself in my room as a young girl and cut up pictures and paste them in journals and write stories with them. I was so afraid my mother would discover me and be angry! Luckily, it wasn’t long before the scrapping craze took off and I was in the clear. For the next 10 years or so I scrapped about my dog, my family, and my friends. I scrapped my nieces and nephews and my friend’s wedding. Then I got married and had my baby boy! I was SO excited about everything he did his first year so I scrapped him not one…not two…but three (busting-at-the-seams) baby albums! Whew! Soon after I followed with baby number two…then three…then four! But none, except my first, had that now prized set of baby books. Ever since that first baby was walking and talking I no longer had the time or an undisturbed place for the scrapbooking; Just a dusty closet of supplies. This is what brings me to today…to digital. To the freedom to scrap anywhere, anytime!

Of course the first thing I had to do was make goals. With being behind 7 years of scrapping goals were essential! This can be so hard, especially for us Moms when most goals now revolve around arriving to the doctor’s office on time or getting a solid 8 hours sleep. I freely admit, 4 kids later, goals are so hard for me! If I don’t decide and plan things out they just don’t happen! So, in order to get more familiar with digital and keep the project fairly small I set my first goal to be an album for our Disney World trip this past February.

This brings me to the Roseytoes product I would like to showcase today, Cute as a Bug!

Cute as a Bug is perfect for all things buggy at Disney and I have had my eye on it for some time to put it to use. Here are the layouts I made with it from Hollywood Studio’s Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area and the parade:

I’m not sure why, but I have a terrible time making sports related pages. I guess that is why this layout by JillW popped out of the gallery at me! It is a very nicely designed sports page, like one I’d love to make myself!
The pictures show lots of action, and I guess that is what makes sports pages hard for me! Snapping that photo at just the right time–

I like that she used several photos to show the different aspects of the game, and that they are different sizes which adds interest. The colors she used are great. I love the big baseball and bat she used as the embellishments, and also the word strips are so nicely placed.

The weather is starting to change. Here in the Netherlands it’s getting colder and rainier and that totally makes me want to sit inside and be creative. Just like I used to do when I was a kit: make spider webs out of a chestnut, sticks and some yarn. Or spend hours coloring in a beautiful coloring book.

When I feel like being creative, it nowadays mostly includes my computer and photographs. And if you’re anything like me, you still have tens of maybe even hundreds of (summer) holiday photo’s left unscrapped. I didn’t really go on a summer holiday this year, but I still have lots of photo’s from previous years waiting to be scrapped. I really intend to scrap them, but I just don’t find the right time or the right kit.
